I committed to doing Inktober this year—and I finished! There were moments I almost gave up and times when I fell behind, but I managed to push through. At the beginning, I had a seven-day lead, which helped, but keeping up was still a challenge. (They release the prompts early if you subscribe to the newsletter!)

I’d tried back in 2019 and only completed one drawing, so finishing this year feels like a huge accomplishment. Enjoy all 32 below!

Along the way, I discovered a style I love: halftone dot patterns paired with ink washes. This technique worked well for me because it allowed me to achieve midtones, which these drawings would otherwise lack. I even thought about going back and adding halftone to the first half of the drawings!

Here’s hoping I’ll be back, inspired, and ready to complete all 32 in 2025!
